We’ve recently returned from a wonderfully successful INNZ-led visit to Ark Quest Education Centre in Kenya. The progress since our last trip six years ago has been nothing short of phenomenal! The school now boasts six permanent concrete block classrooms — the first stage of an ambitious 16-room development plan.
The original mud-brick buildings are now deteriorating, so we’re fully committed to seeing this new project through to completion. If you’d like to learn more or find out how you can support this exciting work, please get in touch at info@arkquest.org.nz
The team of twelve were deeply impressed by the remarkable progress the school has made and the positive influence it continues to have within the local community. When parents and caregivers were invited to meet with us, more than 80% attended — a wonderful sign of their engagement and appreciation for all that is being done for their children.
Recent exam results highlight Ark Quest Education Centre as the top-performing school in the district. Beyond providing quality education, the school also offers two nutritious meals each day — for some students, the only food they receive. An extensive agricultural programme now supplements these meals with fresh vegetables, fruit, milk, and eggs, enriching the children’s diet beyond the staple maize and beans.
The visit to Ark Quest Education Centre was an inspiring reminder of the incredible impact that dedication, partnership, and community support can achieve. From the construction of new classrooms to the thriving agricultural programme and outstanding academic results, the school is transforming lives and futures in tangible ways.
