Visits to Ark Quest
Friends of Ark Quest, Andrew and Heather McCormick visited from Northern Ireland in June. They were warmly welcomed by the Ark Quest Community and were delighted to see the progress in the building project.
Recently Sarah Jackson from England also visited. She has been a regular visitor and supporter over the years. Sarah raised funds to provide textbooks to support the new curriculum.
Stories of Transformation and Change
Despite soaring inflation and rapidly rising food and building costs, we have seen God provide finances from a number of unexpected sources in response to desperate need and many prayers. A heart-warming result has been that the lives of others in the community have been impacted. The purchase of construction materials from a local supplier has enabled the family to afford to send their daughter to high school. Also, Godfrey (Goddy) who has worked at Ark Quest for 13 years looking after the poultry and dairy projects, has now been able to save enough to begin building himself a house. How awesome is that? Ark Quest is beginning to see the fulfilment of its vision to transform not just the children’s lives, but the lives of families in the wider community!
Building Progress
Stage 2 is now well underway with the next three classrooms rapidly taking shape. Because building costs are constantly rising in Kenya, the classrooms are being built in stages as funding becomes available. We are actively fundraising to allow these classrooms to be completed as quickly as possible.
Fun Walk!
The Maude to Mount Phil Russell Memorial Walk for Ark Quest will be happening on Saturday 5th November! Please mark this event in your diaries and keep an eye on our Facebook page for upcoming information. We would encourage you to join us in walking and raising sponsorship, or to sponsor a walker.
