Update
The school term resumed for 2018 on the 2nd of January. The children were quite excited to be back at Ark Quest Education Centre.
Calvine has expressed his thanks for all your prayers and continued support last year. They have been able to achieve quite a lot with your help. The teachers’ salaries are up to date and we celebrate this with him. It is a great blessing to thank God for.
Student Fees: Whitney, the top student in Year Eight last year, was able to join Lugulu Girls’ High School, the national school she was invited to, thanks to your generous contributions. Also Salome, the late Madam Cook’s daughter, was blessed to have her whole year fees cleared at Moi Girls High School, Vokoli. On behalf of the Ark Quest family, Calvine thanks you for making this possible for both the girls.
Dairy Project: The dairy project continues to be a main focus for the year. The school is continually investing into this project for its future sustainability. This year, they are looking forward to increasing the dairy shed for their animals as funds become available. In the recent months they have been blessed with new calves in their herd. This puts pressure on them to increase the size of the shed.
Classrooms Build Opportunity: Pressure is gradually building on them to build permanent classrooms. There are increasing maintenance costs with the existing structures. Any team willing to join towards these activities would be greatly welcomed.
Wedding: We are delighted for Calvine, who married Laura just after Christmas. The wedding was a simple occasion and they were blessed that all the family could attend their special day. We wish them every blessing as they embark on married life together.
